ABOUT THE ARTIST: MASTER SHU WENZHAO 舒文照
Shu Wenzhao is the founder of Shu Ceramics, a nationally recognized Intangible Cultural Heritage site dedicated to the preservation and advancement of the ceramic tradition of Yunnan. Though devoted to mentoring the new generation, the secret to many of his vibrant and volcanic glazes is known only to him. To source the raw material, Master Shu ventures alone into the mountains of Yunnan, resulting in teaware that is singular to him.
